This weekend, more than a thousand experts in digital dentistry gathered in Malaga for the 11th Congress of the Spanish Society of Digital Dentistry and New Technologies (SOCE).
The event was successfully held at the Exhibition and Conference Centre on 15, 16 and 17 February. During this period, more than 40 national and international speakers participated, including prominent figures such as Daniela Aggio, Wenceslao Piedra and Ignacio Pedrinaci, and 20 companies, including Corus, IPD and Align.

The Crooke & Laguna team played a crucial role at this conference. Dr. Eduardo Crooke González de Aguilar served as President of SOCE Málaga, alongside Dr. Rosa Gómez Laguna, who was also part of the organising committee.
In addition, Dr. Félix Wucherpfennig Price, one of our specialists in Implantology and Oral Rehabilitation, gave a talk on Pre-Surgical Digital Analytical Design and then led a workshop alongside Dr. Miguel Murúa on guided surgery without rings, Just Guide It, which was very well attended.

Eduardo Crooke expressed his pride in the smooth running of the conference, the high level of participation in the event and the feedback received from commercial companies. In this regard, Crooke explained: “I am very pleased with the turnout. I am very pleased with the level of dentistry we are seeing in the presentations. And I am very pleased with the commercial companies because there is very good feedback from the attendees, who are seeing first-hand everything that the commercial companies have come to show us.”
The next Digital Dentistry Congress organised by SOCE will be held at the Barcelona Conference Centre on 31 January and 1 February 2025.
On the other hand, Dr Rosa Gómez Laguna expressed her satisfaction with the excellent reception given to the scientific event. She commented: “We are very happy with the outcome of this SOCE congress in Malaga. The reception was fantastic, the scientific level of the speakers was wonderful, the commercial exhibition was welcoming and interesting, and on a social level we enjoyed a good time among friends and colleagues. We hope that next year’s congress in Barcelona will be just as good or even better, and of course, we will be there giving our best effort to continue advancing in digital dentistry.”
